Relining & Restoration

Chimney refacing from Mad Hatter Birmingham restores the beauty and structural integrity of your chimney with expert masonry work.

How Guardian Chimney Liners Work

Guardian liners are poured into your existing chimney to form a hardened, high-temperature-resistant flue. The material bonds with the masonry, sealing gaps and insulating against heat transfer—far outperforming traditional liners like clay tile or metal.

These liners also prevent condensation and creosote buildup, making your chimney safer and longer-lasting.

Additional Benefits of Chimney Relining

  • Fills cracks, gaps, and porous brickwork for an airtight seal
  • Prevents toxic gas leaks into the home
  • Reinforces existing chimney structure and joints
  • Withstands freeze-thaw damage with zero surface erosion
  • Improves chimney draft and appliance performance

Versatile, Durable, and Code-Compliant

Guardian liners work with wood, gas, coal, and oil-burning appliances. They're custom-poured to exact specifications, ensuring that the final flue diameter is ideal for safe, efficient venting. Whether you're upgrading for performance, repairing damage, or converting your system, chimney relining is a smart investment.

This system can also divide a large chimney into multiple safe flues—allowing multiple appliances to be vented independently without code violations.

Professional Installation Procedure

First, we inspect and clean the chimney, remove any broken tiles, and brace any weak areas. We then insert a flexible rubber form, spaced to maintain proper liner thickness.

The Guardian mixture is mixed on-site and poured from the top of the chimney. It flows around the form and hardens into a smooth, seamless liner. Once cured, we remove the form, inspect the new liner, and finish the top with a proper crown to keep moisture out.
